What should I do if I’m having difficulties joining a webinar?

What is the Learning Management System (LMS) and how can I access it?
Education & TrainingThe Learning Management System (LMS) is ASHM’s online learning platform where all On Demand Learning takes place.
To access your LMS Profile:
- Log into your MyASHM account.
- Navigate to your LMS by clicking your name in the top right corner, then ‘LMS Profile’.
Where is the webinar link for my virtual course?
Education & TrainingThe webinar confirmation email will be sent to the email associated with your MyASHM account. This information will be sent shortly after registering, again 1 week before, and the day before the session.
Please check your other inboxes and your spam folder if you cannot find the email in your primary inbox.
If you still cannot find the webinar email, contact us or call the Education team at 0431 320 429 for direct assistance.
How do I access On Demand online courses?
Education & TrainingTo access ASHM’s On Demand courses, head to the ASHM Education Library select “Delivery method.” Select “On Demand” from the drop-down menu.
What is the difference between ‘On Demand’ and ‘virtual’ courses?
Education & TrainingOn Demand courses are our online learning modules (OLM). These online and self-directed courses allow you to complete courses and modules at your own pace and at any time.
Virtual courses are courses that have a live, online component such as a Zoom or Microsoft Teams webinar. If you register for a virtual course, you will need to attend a live webinar session to earn CPD hours, prescriber points and/or a Statement of Attendance.
When will I receive my certificate after completing a course?
Education & TrainingFor On Demand courses, you will receive a Statement of Attendance certificate immediately upon completion.
For virtual and face-to-face courses, we will aim to send your Statement of Attendance certificate within four weeks of the end of a course.
What to expect after you complete a course
Education & TrainingWithin 1 week after the final session has completed, you will receive a post course email with: a copy of the presentation slides, a post course survey, and recommended resources.
Within 4 weeks after the final session has completed, you will receive Statement of Attendance/Certificate.
Please note these timelines are a guide. We aim to follow them as closely as possible, however, we cannot always guarantee this. We are grateful for your patience.
Notes for s100 Prescribers:
- If you are already an HIV s100 or HBV s100 Accredited Prescriber, relevant Prescriber Points will be available on your profile as well.
- If you have finished an HIV s100 or HBV s100 Accredited Prescriber course to gain your accreditation, Prescriber Points will only be allocated to your profile once you have completed all associated course work and been granted prescriber status.
Where can I view my courses?
Education & TrainingYou can view your upcoming and past courses in your MyASHM account and Learning Profile. You can access these by clicking on your name in the top-right corner of the screen once you have logged in.
To see all live sessions you have registered for or attended in the past, please select “My Events.”
To see all on demand courses you have registered for or completed in the past, please select “ASHM Learning Profile”.
What happens after I register for a course?
Education & TrainingYou will be sent a confirmation email to the address listed on your MyASHM account. This will include your registration details, including pre-course work and session details.
Pre-course work is considered prior knowledge before the session runs and is a mandatory prerequisite for most courses.
You will also be sent two reminder emails, one a week before the course, and one the day before. These will have all the information required to join the session.
I can’t find a course I want to enrol in
Education & TrainingUse our Expression of Interest pages to register your interest. You will be contacted by email as soon as a session has become available in the state listed on your MyASHM profile.
Can I register for a course in another state?
Education & TrainingYes, you can. However, priority is given to participants from the state that funded the course. If places are full, your name may be placed on a waitlist, and you will be contacted if a spot becomes available.
How much do ASHM courses cost?
Education & TrainingAll online and in-person ASHM education courses are free.
For face-to-face courses, you may be asked to pay if you are attending in a state outside your place of residence or practice location.
How can I enrol in a course?
Education & TrainingTo enrol in an ASHM course, you will need to have a free MyASHM account.
Then, find a course on our Education Library and click the ‘Register now’ button on the relevant course page.
What is MyASHM and how can I access it?
Education & TrainingMyASHM is your free, online account containing all your upcoming courses, accreditations, and and practice listings. By signing up to MyASHM, you also get access to our tailored newsletters and free courses.
Sign up or log into MyASHM by clicking ‘Log In/Sign up’ in the top right corner of the ASHM homepage.
What is the difference between the MyASHM Portal, Prescriber Portal, and Online Learning Profile?
Education & TrainingYou’ll use a few different online ASHM accounts depending on what you’re doing.
The MyASHM Portal and account is your main account for everything ASHM. Through MyASHM, you can:
- Update your personal details
- Update your membership
- See your upcoming courses
- Check your past attendance
The Prescriber Portal is doctors and clinicians working towards or maintaining HIV s100 or HBV s100 prescriber accreditation. From here you can view your accreditation requirements, track your progress and renewals, and access prescriber resources and updates.
The Online Learning Profile is where you will find your on demand learning. From here you can access courses you’re completing on demand online, track your progress through modules, and see completion notices added to your ASHM record.
How can I cancel my enrolment for a course?
Education & TrainingClick the link here to contact us and include the name of the course in the message. Please ask to cancel your enrolment and provide the name or email associated with your MyASHM account. You can also call 0431 320 429 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5PM AEST).
